What is LEADER?
LEADER is grant funding for rural businesses and communities.  The Fieldfare group has £2.25million to spend before December 2013.

Who is on the Local Action Group (LAG)?
Local farmers, foresters, rural businesses, community organisations and representatives from East Hampshire District and Winchester City Councils.   The LAG delivers LEADER funding in the Fieldfare area.

Where does LEADER funding come from?
RDPE is funded by Defra (the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the European Union as part of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD): Europe investing in rural areas. 'LEADER' stands for Liaison entre actions de developement de l’economie rurale (integrated action for rural development).
