Community organisations

RDPE funding is available for formally constituted community organisations, local businesses, social enterprises and charities to support the following:

*Provision of basic services for the economy and rural population

*Village renewal and development and

*Conservation and upgrading of the rural heritage

We strongly recommend you speak to Community Action Hampshire, Winchester Area Community Action or Community First East Hampshire to seek their help, support and advice with your application.   

We are particularly keen to support ‘isolated’ communities and those groups that find it hard to secure suitable funding for projects that have been identified by the communities themselves.

All community projects must demonstrate that their project is part of a 'community integrated plan'. For example, the project should be clearly identified within a Village Design statement, Parish Plan or Village Health Check .

Projects that do not meet this criteria will be required to provide signifcant evidence that community consultation processes have been used to identify the project need.
