Who are we and what do we do?
Fieldfare is a not for profit group that brings together people from rural businesses, farming and rural communities with the aims of supporting economic growth and improving quality of life. The group was established in 2007 to deliver the LEADER approach to rural development. LEADER is about local people supporting local projects through local action.
The 2009 - 2013 LEADER project has now closed and we are not accepting any new applications for funding support. LEADER is a funding delivery mechanism for the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE). 'LEADER' stands for Liaison entre actions de developement de l’economie rurale (integrated action for rural development). This is part of the EU Commission’s rural development activity.
Next LEADER project starts in January 2015
The Local Action Group is developing a new Local Development Strategy (2014-2020). The strategy will help inform the priorities and area to be covered by the next LEADER project. For more information, please contact us.
