Brockwood Park Farm

WoodchipAlex Morton of Brockwood Farm is committed to using the natural resources that his farm in the rural area of Winchester provides.

Having installed his own district heating system and extended this to provide heating within the farm buildings, Alex has built a woodchip storage facility.

Using timber of local sources, including managed wood from his own farm, he produces woodchip for local households and businesses.

StoreDuring a recent visit to monitor progress, David Webb, Chair of the Fieldfare Local Action Group told Alex "This is an excellent example of a farmer using the natural resources available within their own land to help reduce the carbon footprint and encourage sustainable fuel use - the project is both practicable and educational "
