The Woodshed

Richard and Lou set up The Woodshed at Home Farm. This high quality green tourism venture offers holiday accommodation in a stylish, newly converted steel-framed barn, set in nearly 10 hectares of natural pasture and woodland
The grant helped them to convert an existing farm building and equip it with eco tourism in mind. The accommodation is fitted with solar water heating and a wood burning stove.

The RDPE LEADER grant helped ensure that:
- by adding to Richard and Lou’s own financial investment, they were able to purchase better quality equipment and much earlier than they had anticipated
- Richard’s cabinet making and furniture restoration business could now offer students on site accommodation
